Galoppi, they/them
The Galoppi is a 3D-printed stool from the genus Wobblewhirlwinds. Galoppis come in every imaginable color and size – from the handy Pony Galoppi to the stately Carriage Horse Galoppi. It is said that for every Galoppi there is a matching rider; some even claim that the two are nothing less than seat soulmates.
Galoppis are born from large robots, and thanks to their special property – a remarkable semi-flexibility – they became declared opponents of silent, rigid sitting. They are often found in herds, especially in schools, where they carry children of all ages on their backs through the blocks of learning (the Union of Galoppis Against Sitting Still, by the way, insists on more breaks and longer gallop routes).
When a Galoppi encounters an immovable piece of furniture, they immediately begin an unrelenting gallop in the hope of coaxing the rigid counterpart into wobbling along. This endeavor, however, usually ends without success – and in rare cases tragically, when the static piece of furniture cannot withstand the sudden urge to move.
